The EDF Energy Birmingham Half Marathon was the first major road race to be staged in the city for more than 20 years and received nearly 9,000 entries and an estimated 50,000 spectators lined the route to cheer on the runners, many of whom were running for charity.
On Sunday 26th October 2008, Dharminder Gill, Shaminder Gill, Bhavenbir Rana and Karamveer Rana supported CEDF; all finished with respectable times and between them raised £615.00 for the charity. All four runners have expressed interest in participating in the 2009 race. |
