Birmingham Supplementary Schools' Consortium or BSSC as it also known has been established over the last 3 years in response to the funding cuts made by Birmingham City Council in 2011. A large number of schools previously part of the Birmingham Supplementary Schools' Network working with the Council, have decided to keep the network together and work in collaboration to identify possible sources of funding, to share information / resources, to organise training for school staff, and to continue holding achievement day's to celebrate the achievements of both schools and their pupils.

CEDF Hagley Road office is used as the main hub for communication

The Consortium is a network of over 30 schools working collectively and reaching out to hundreds of children and young people across Birmingham. Below is a picture of our current members.
